Everything we design at Best Before stems from a single need - simplicity. This maybe because we can’t remember an FTP password and what video compression settings we need. Or it may be because we can’t be arsed to fiddle with simple things like overlays in editing programs like Final Cut Pro. And VideoBoo is the simplest thing we’ve made. A old fashioned photobooth in a digital video box, it’s a point and click approach to posting video online. Start her up, add some personal info like name and job description, hit record and you’re off. It already auto uploads to Youtube and Brightcove (complete with a rather nice overlay of that info you entered at the start) and we’ll be adding more services as we go along. Ideal for journalists, brilliant for businesses & schools - hey, we’ve even spoken to 10 Downing Street about this one. And best of all, our upcoming deal with the Brightcove platform means that their online solution suddenly got a whole more cost effective.
You can download a version by clicking here which uploads to a generic Youtube account: user is videoboodemo and password is videoboodemop. Runs on OSX 5 and up. We’ll hopefully be finishing a personalised evauluation soon that will upload to your own accounts.

Hi Mark-
I’m glad to see VideoBoo again– it’s a great piece of software and definately satisfies a need! VideoBoo worked great for YourScienceYourSay this last summer- thanks for letting me use it early. You can see the response views we got here: http://uk.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=826047667C7371B1
Also, how is the refresh rate– it looks alright but not lightning-fast– is that because you’re running a screencast as well? It seemed smoother on the imac than on my macbook.
Cheers,
Ian
