chain reaction

On the 17th and 18th November 2008, Chain Reaction will bring together social leaders, community activists, policy makers, business leaders, young people and people like you from around the globe to share learning and to generate new ideas for social change, locally, nationally and globally.

In an event spread over 2 days at London’s South Bank, speaker’s include Sir Richard Branson, Mark Thompson, Director General of the BBC, Rt Hon Hazel Blears MP and Adam Crozier, Chief Executive, Royal Mail Group.

And powering a huge range of the interaction will be Best Before Media. Four screens in the venue will be powered by our own Millicent Pro, bringing in Twitter feeds, Youtube videos, Flickr images and more. And capturing the essence of the event will be VideoBoo, which will allows speakers and attendees to have their observations video recorded and posted to the web in a matter of minutes, allowing the wider community not at the event to get a real feeling of the issues being discussed.

And, to round it off, we’ll be pulling the chain reaction Flickr pictures (there’s a whole bunch of social bloggers going) into our cloud based video rendering platform, Mooky, to create slideshows with style that will also be streamed to the big screens

A heavily laden banquet of Millicent technology if ever I saw one. It’s going to be an exciting event and one in which we hope we can make a real difference.
