Ever done a audio interview and had to rush back to the office to convert and upload it to your website? Or just wanted a simple way to capture or listen to thoughts about a particular area of the city?
AudioBoo is a concise iPhone application for recording a piece of spoken audio. You can then append it with a photo, title and tags it and easily upload it to the cloud, complete with available geo-location info. It’s part of our new AudioBoo platform which will be free to use, with a premium version available for organizations such as newspapers, tourist authorities and businesses.
AudioBoo has been made possible by funding from 4IP, which is Channel 4’s exciting new fund for public services. And we think AudioBoo will help spawn a whole series of future proposals that will use its forthcoming API to do things we’ve never even thought about - from local radio services to ultra local news to walking tours and more.
The full platform will have further smartphone integration plus allowing you to record audio directly from a web page. It should be launching Q1 2009, hopefully at SXSWi in March but we’ll keep you posted on developments.

Hi Guys. Love it. Is there any way of monetising Boos? I would love to offer a series of location relevant insights for which I’d like to be able to make a small charge if possible - is there any way to do this?
Many thanks. Alex
